★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 見沼代用水は何か所かで他の川を伏せ越しでくぐるのだが、ここはその一つ。今はコンクリート製なので問題なさそうだが、江戸時代はトンネルも木造であり、木造では浮いてきてしまうので苦労も多かったようだ。
そんなことに思いを寄せてみると楽しい。水田に水を引く頃が、元荒川、見沼代用水ともに水量が多く大変によろしい。
