★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 元荒川架橋記念碑なる碑石が立つ。
題額揮毫は秦豊助。石工は柳祐次郎。大正十二年五月竣工銘。
碑石正面に寄付者連名。筆頭は「五十嵐藤吉」「細井金左エ門」とある。
白岡市には，ここと「茅野の渡し」があった。いずれも橋の完成と共に衰退・消滅。
案内板に橋開通時の写真が掲載されている。橋下に渡し船と船頭が写っている。向こう側の橋の袂にも，渡し船が見えるか。橋手前にカンカン帽を被った着物姿の男性が複数名写っている。一番よく写る位置にいるので，有力者か。その近くにいるのはその家族と思われる。橋の半ば辺りには，軍服を着た人々が並ぶ。
この橋は白岡駅の完成に呼応して建設されたというが，近隣物資を駅に運ぶためだろう。
 A monument called the Motoara River Bridge Monument stands.
The title is Toyosuke Hata. The mason is Yujiro Yanagi. Inscription completed in May 1918.
Donor joint name on the front of the monument. The first is "Igarashi Tokichi" and "Hosoi Kinzaemon".
In Shiraoka City, there was here and "Chino no Watashi". Both declined and disappeared with the completion of the bridge.
A photo of the opening of the bridge is posted on the information board. The ferry and the boatman are shown under the bridge. Can you see the ferry on the other side of the bridge? In front of the bridge, there are several men in kimono wearing boaters. Is it a powerful person because he is in the position where he can be seen best? It seems that the family is near it. People in military uniforms line up in the middle of the bridge.
It is said that this bridge was built in response to the completion of Shiraoka Station, probably to carry nearby supplies to the station.
