操作ミスで削除してしまったので改めて。先斗町の二輪駐車場の隣に佇む感じであります。営業は夕方遅くからだったり、私の職場と定休日が同じだったりで、なかなか行けませんでした。初めて行った時の印象は高い所にテレビが置いてあり、昭和のお店だなぁと。そして壁には籠の花入れに花が活けてあり、素敵だなぁと思ったものです。 食べたかったニシンそばのしみじみした美味しさに、ああ京都の人が羨ましい!と思ったものです。味は薄めですが、だしがしっかり効いていて物足りなさは無いです。少量の葱と生姜が添えられてきますが、とても美味しく感じます。寒い日に、飲みの締めに食べたい味です。 その後、転勤して京都は遠くなりましたが、この味が恋しくなります。 それと、興味があった京都の家庭料理?の衣笠丼を食べてみました。これもとても美味しかったです。量は少なめですが(私が大食い、ってだけかもですが。)満足感がありました。こちらもだしがしっかり効いております。 それと、板わさと熱燗がてとも美味しかったです。プリプリでは無く、歯で軽く切れる感じです。さっくり?してる?単純なものだけに誤魔化しが効かない感がしました。 ・・・〆はもちろん、にしんそば。(食べ過ぎ。) いや、京都の夜は素敵だ!

かもなんばを食べました。蕎麦だからか出汁も醤油もしっかりめ。麺は淡い味、殻を挽いてない粉かな。蕎麦粉100%かどうかはわかりません、100%の麺だと経験上はもう少し切れやすい、というか切れ方が違う。打ち粉に蕎麦粉以外のつなぎとなるもの使ってるかも。量はカップヌードルレギュラーサイズ程度。あと個人的には高い、かもなんばは1480円だったかな?

私見ですが、河道屋=辛味大根。 鷹ヶ峯の、辛味大根。 ≠鷹ヶ峯は、経験があった。 うーん…本家はどんなものか? …ああ、まったくの別物ですね!! 寒い日、偶然の遭遇。入店。 やはり、冷…かな…? 「温かいのがオススメですよ」 そのお言葉で、温かい「おろしそば」。 いやいや。 ざる?もり?それの薬味として、合わせるものじゃないのかな? …そんな皆様、考えを改めて頂きたく思います。私も、です。いや、土下座します。温かい、辛味大根のおろしそば…めちゃくちゃ美味しかったです。 ☆6、無いですかね? …一回やると、インフレしますかね? だから☆5です。 思ったより、少ない「おろし」。普通のおろしそばとは、比べるべきもない。 写真参照です。 さて…混ぜる…食べる…からい。 ハズレを引いた時の大根の辛さとは…違う…?心構え出来てたからか? …大根の辛味が…泣きそうに辛い…けど、そばの風味が、救ってくれる。 涙が出そう…でも、そこまで…ではない。絶妙なライン。 …これは… また、行きます!

Talking about a surprise ... We just randomly walked I to a place on a side street to Pontocho in Kyoto. And it was just like in a movie little restaurant with a couple of tables and 5 stools at the bar. A pair of Japanese ladies eating their noodles a cop stopped by for a bowl of soba. Very nice man running the place, made tempura and freshly hand grated ginger and daickon reddish came with our soba. Yummy, nice and calm. I would go again any time. How is it possible that noodles are so much better in Japan, even $4 711 ramen or soba is better then what we get at the restaurants here at time.

We stumbled across this soba place while looking for an affordable meal in Pontocho Alley. It turned out to be delicious. Kake soba (simple hot soba soup) with tempura was very flavourful. Chicken curry udon (tori kare udon) was just amazing! Buckwheat icecream was yummy! Typical Japanese environment with mostly locals. Menu in English includes only few items (hence not so gaijin friendly ?) but it’s really worth trying! We will be back when we go back to Kyoto.
