京風のお洒落な老舗蕎麦屋です。 細麺で腰がありおいしいですが、関東出身からすると、小麦多めでうどんに近い食べ物と感じます。
It is a fashionable long-established soba restaurant in Kyoto style. The thin noodles are chewy and delicious, but from the Kanto region, they have a lot of wheat and feel like udon.

平日12時30分頃にランチで訪問、満席でしたが店内で待つこと5分程度でテーブルに案内いただきました。オーダーは田毎そば(冷)&たぬきそば(温)、注文してからメニュー見たりしているとすぐにおそばがテーブルに。田毎そばは大きな帆立が2つ大きな海苔の下にそばが隠れています。コシのある美味しいそば、濃いめのダシはそば湯で最後までいただけます。今度はてんぷらも食べたい。
I visited for lunch around 12:30 on weekdays, and although it was full, I was guided to the table in about 5 minutes after waiting in the store. The order is Tanuki soba (cold) & Tanuki soba (warm), and as soon as you look at the menu after ordering, the soba is on the table. Tago soba has two large scallops and the soba is hidden under the large seaweed. You can enjoy the chewy and delicious soba and the thick dashi stock in the soba hot water until the end. I want to eat tempura this time.

The air conditioning was too high. We had the Udon Sushi, which sounded interesting but lacked in flavour.

Maybe it's an acquired taste but we found the soba tasted so revolting we could barely eat any of it at all. The soba just came with 3 or 4 small prawns.

While not Halal certified, the menu were pretty Muslim-friendly, with no pork in any of the dishes and plenty of fish and seafood to choose from.

Have only visited once in December 2016 and found the two soba noodle dishes palatable and unique. I would venture another attempt to try out their other dishes before considering an additional star. Stay tuned!
