尾張四観音とは荒子・甚目寺・竜泉寺・笠寺の四つのことをいい、これらの寺に通じる道を四観音道と呼んだ。この内笠寺と竜泉寺を結ぶ道が区内を通る。この場所に明治時代に立てられたと伝えられる当時の道標が一基残っている。石柱には「南あつた かさでら 北 せと りゅうせんじ 東 やごと ひらばり 西 なごや かち川」などの字が刻まれている。
 Shikannonmichi and signpost
Owari Shikannon means four things: Arako, Jinmeji, Ryusenji, and Kasadera, and the road leading to these temples is called Shikannon. The road connecting Uchikasa and Ryusenji passes through the ward. There is one signpost left at this place, which is said to have been built in the Meiji era. The stone pillars are engraved with characters such as "South Atsuta Kadara, Kita Seto Ryu Senji, East, Yagora, Hibarari, West Nagoya Pakachi River."
