★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent izakaya if you are staying nearby and are too tired to venture far after your day of tourism... but I cant help but feel a lot of items were smothered in sauces...
I did enjoy the tartar the best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous local spot! Very hospitable owner/staff, English menu available. We enjoyed the motsuni broth with egg and grilled tofu, local pickles, grilled lamb, grilled chicken thigh, fried chicken (karaage), pork belly and grilled fish. They had a seasonal cherry blossom highball that was delicious ( March). Excellent sake selection, better if you speak Japanese. Comfortable and attractive interior, much attention to detail. I would highly recommend visiting. One drink per person minimum (~400yen).
