★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 報恩寺の敷居を潜るとすぐに目につく場所に石棺があります。蓋がないことから石棺仏や板碑に使われたと思いますが、説明板には近くの古墳で発見されたとされているので此処においているだけかもしれません。気になるのは棺のサイズが小さいことで故人が低身長だったのか子供だったのかとあれこれ想像してしまいます。手水舎ではないので注意です。
 There is a sarcophagus in a place that can be seen immediately after diving under the threshold of Hoonji Temple. I think that it was used for the sarcophagus Buddha and the plate monument because there is no lid, but it may be just here because it is said that it was discovered in a nearby burial mound on the explanation plate. I wonder if the deceased was a short stature or a child because the size of the casket was small. Please note that it is not a waterhouse.
