地蔵寺の門を入り、すぐ左にある鎌倉時代後期にの造立とされる板碑と石棺仏で、説明板が隣に建てられているので、説明文と共に実物を見る事が出来ます。特に板碑に関しては、石仏が彫られている裏面が本来の板碑として使用していたものを、石仏として再利用している遺例は他に見られない特色であるらしく、これを見るだけでも歴史的価値がありそうです。また六地蔵石棺仏も上段と中段合わせて６体の地蔵立像の下、下段に２体の座像が彫られており、その２体は被供養者像とされており、地蔵様と、供養者が同時に彫られているレイアウトも資料的価値が高いものらしいです。他に見られない価値などといった事例に出会うとやはりうれしくなるもので、評価は高めになってます。
