曹洞宗・地蔵寺の正門から境内に入らず、塀沿いを右側に歩いて行くと、資材部屋のようなプレハブ小屋があり、その奥に目的の古墳が存在します。パッと見ただけは寺の基礎工事の途中に目的がある空洞を造ったようにも見えますが、まさか境内の下が古墳であるとは・・という驚きと、古墳を残したまま寺が構築されている英断の２つの驚きがあります。石室前には説明板があるので読むと終末期の切石に近い横穴式石室で、側壁は表面をノミで平らに削っているとのこと。確かに表面は均されており時代を通り越して現在でも十分通用する仕上がりです。（あくまでも何かあった場合は自己責任という認識で）石室内に入りると奥に地蔵様が祀られていました。なお、この古墳のある地蔵寺には石棺の蓋を使用した石棺仏があり、庭園には石棺の本体らしきものが置いてあることから、この古墳の物を使用した可能性も考えられますがそれらに関する記述などはありません。そうかもしれないという想像する楽しい時間を得れた場所です。

If you do not enter the precincts from the main gate of the Soto sect and Jizo-ji, walk along the fence to the right and you will find a prefabricated hut like a material room, with the target tumulus behind it. At first glance, it seems that a purposeful hollow was built in the middle of the temple's foundation work. There are two surprises that are being built. There is an explanation board in front of the stone room, so if you read it, it is a side hole type stone room close to the terminal quarry, and the side wall is cut flat with a chisel. Certainly, the surface is leveled, and it is a finish that can be used even today, passing through the times. Jizo-sama was enshrined in the back of the stone room (in recognition of self-responsibility if anything happened). In addition, there is a sarcophagus Buddha using a sarcophagus lid at Jizo-ji Temple where this tomb is located, and there is a thing that seems to be the main body of the sarcophagus in the garden. There is no description about them. It's a place where you have a fun time to imagine that might be the case.
