★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 古墳からの景色が良かった。湖を造る際、ほとんどの古墳石室が水面下に沈んでしまったよう。そんな状況の中、いくつかはまだ見ることができます。
The view from the old tomb was good. When building the lake, most of the old stone chambers seemed to sink below the surface of the water. Some of them are still visible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 平荘湖建築の際に発掘調査された、古墳時代後期に100基を超えたとされる大古墳群です。しかしながら実際には大半が湖の中あり、通常は水面外の古墳が数基・見学できる状態です。平荘湖の水位が下がる冬場には、普段は水面に浸かり見ることの出来ない石室枠の古墳も現れます。平荘湖駐車場や、古墳群のすぐ横にある「県民の森公園」の駐車場を利用し見学をしたい。巨大な古墳群故に、この近くにある平荘湖観察小屋にも古墳群の内の一基が残っているので立ち寄ってみてください。
This is a group of large tumuli that exceeded 100 in the late Kofun period, and were excavated during the construction of Heisho Lake. However, most of them are actually in lakes, and usually there are several tombs outside the water surface. In the winter season when the water level of Lake Heijing falls, there are also stone mound-shaped tumuli that usually cannot be immersed in the water. I would like to visit the parking lot at the Heijo Lake parking lot or the parking lot of "Kinmin no Mori Park" right next to the tombs. Because of the huge tombs, one of the tombs remains in the nearby Heian Lake Observation Hut.

時期によるとマラソン大会もあるらしいですね。
時間がある時は一周してみたいものです。
It's a very beautiful lake. This is another place, but you can get a dam card.
It seems that there is also a marathon event depending on the time of year.
I would like to go around when I have time.
