Looking for some chewy udon? This is a MUST GO in Tokyo! This place specializes in Inaniwa Udon - a special type of udon from the north of Japan that is flat instead of round. Harder to find in Tokyo so I was so happy to find this restaurant. Highly recommend getting the udon cold with a cold or hot dip since you'll be able to taste the chewiness of the noodle better when it's cold. My favorite dip was the hot dan-dan noodle dip (peanut sauce). Second favorite was the cold soy sauce dip and then the cold sesame dip. ***No reservations needed but go early to avoid waiting*** I wouldn't recommend getting the tempura, it's just average and the amount of noodle you'll get with each meal will be more than enough to fill you up.

Great place for Japanese handmade inaniwa udon noodle. Restaurant business is very good. They have another space at second level if the main area is full.

Originated from Akita Prefecture. A bit pricey but excellent quality of Inaniwa udon. The place has wonderful collection of japanese sake. You cannot miss it. In addition, the appropriate partitions makes the space and atmosphere private which is very good for talking and staffs are very kind. Highly recommended place.

I don't even like udon (too thick) but I LOVE this place. The noodles are made in-house and are thin, delicate, super silky. I'm all about the sublime winter hotpot set. Bonus: nonsmoking at lunchtime

Very good udon here at Sato Yoske in Ginza. It’s a bit thinner than elsewhere but very delicious. Superb service as well. We had the Hinai chicken with miso and the sesame and soy sauce tempura set to start. We then added the 2 Thai curry ones as well. Great flavor from all of them, highly recommended.

The cold, resfreshing udon noodles and warm dipping sauce was so simple and subtle but so delicious and filling. The place is elegant and rather peaceful after 8:30pm (although last orders were at 8:45pm). I came with my husband and baby boy, and they treated him like he was an extra person, bringing out water, cultery and appetizers for him without us saying anything.

Amazingly and perfectly smooth, tasty inaniwa udon that's so satisfying. Both the dipped udon and the udon soup are great - it was an amazing experience to have them both. There wasn't a line when we got there at about 12 on a Saturday but as we left, there was a pretty long line outside. They have an overflow space on the 2nd floor which is very nice and cozy.

Great place for dinner. The best dish we had, and recommend, is the curry (green and red), although the red was better. Service was good, and relaxing atmosphere. The udon was taste amazing and were cooked perfectly.
