日本各地にある神社です。三宝荒神（さんぼうこうじん、さんぽうこうじん）は、日本特有の仏教における信仰対象の1つ。仏法僧の三宝を守護し、不浄を厭離（おんり）する佛神です。
三宝荒神の像容は、三面六臂または八面六臂（三面像の頭上に5つの小面を持つ）です。頭髪を逆立てて眼を吊り上げた、暴悪を治罰せんとする慈悲が極まった憤怒の表情を示し、密教の明王像に共通するものがあります。
不浄や災難を除去する神とされることから、火と竈の神として信仰され、かまど神として祭られることが多いのが特徴です。これは日本では台所やかまどが最も清浄なる場所であることから俗間で信仰されるようになったものです。仏像としての作例は近世以降のものが多く、古いものは小型の簡素な石を組み合わせたものが多いように感じます。

The image of Sanpo Aragami is three-sided six-sided or eight-sided six-sided (with five facets above the three-sided statue). His hair is turned upside down and his eyes are lifted, showing an expression of wrath with extreme mercy for punishing the violence, which is common to the esoteric Buddhist statue of Myo.
Since it is said to be a god that eliminates uncleanness and disasters, it is worshiped as a god of fire and gods, and is often worshiped as a god of kamado. This is what has come to be worshiped by the profane because kitchens and kamado are the cleanest places in Japan. Many of the examples of Buddhist statues are from the early modern period, and I feel that many of the old ones are a combination of small and simple stones.
