★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Otoya is a chain of restaurants that you can find all over Japan and they all have almost identical menus. Some of the dishes are very good, and there is a large variety of Japanese food so there will be something for everyone, which makes these restaurants a good choice for groups where people like very different foods.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very small place with small tables. Very narrow and squishy that makes you feel uncomfortable while eating. The foods are quite fine but not satisfying taste except the chicken menu. They don't organize where to let the costumers wait and costumers waiting are blocking the front door. The servers have bad manners. They keep shouting asking another servers and even talk loudly that makes the costumers startled.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place had fantastic meals! The tray was enough to be a hearty meal but not stuff you so you couldn't walk anymore. Variety was good and English menus were very clear and properly translated. Would go again and again. Just delicious and very friendly on the wallet!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered a hot pot made of tofu which was very nice. The place is very cheap (it's a chain) for the amount of food the offer. For less than 1000 yen you can eat a teishoku: whatever you pick plus rice and some side dishes.
The staff is quite normal, I mean, for the price you pay you cannot expect to be treated like the queen of England, but they're friendly.
I recommend this chain restaurant when you want to eat Japanese food (washoku) but your budget is adjusted lol
