D	David Miles on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came here for lunch and we were glad we did. Fantastic value set lunch that was tasty and interesting (green tea tiramisu for dessert!). The meal was lots of different dishes served at once and it was fun trying them all - some vegetables, some meat and some fish. They had a variety of options and it was only 1250 yen including drinks!
A	Alexander Klinginger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst dinner experience in Japan!!! The restaurant looks nice from the outside, but the interior inside is just plane boring and kind a shaby. First impression when I walked in was frontal rudeness of the waiter. Should have listened to my guts and leave the place. But it was recommendet by my host in Kyoto so I gave it a try. The impolite service just kept on coming and the ambiance of the second floor was even more simple. Any basement is more cosy than that. The food was average, the presentation and serving just not acceptable. Not worth the money. All in all a bad experience.

And i asked for water to drink medicine but staff said to me no you have to order drink to get water !! It happened to me first time in my life , i was shocked and disappointed so much . Also my friend recommended us this restaurant and she said its good to enjoy kyoto’s food But i found the opposite I couldn’t finish 3 dishes because it was not tasty ! And one more thing i asked them to not put port on my salade because i have allergy but i found it !!! I payed 3500¥ for course dinner and i expected something special and i thought this price including drinks Can you imagine? But staff said to me you have to order drink and pay for it u dont have choice to not choose drink wth! Also the restaurant inside was noisy so much full of kids crying and playing around The restaurant was not stylish and old like a barn i was so much disappointed Its not worth it that price

A cool little place that is relaxed, friendly and very 'Kyoto' -worth a visit, you won't be disappointed. Price was very reasonable too

Of the 9+ dishes that were served, there was not one that I did not enjoy - pretty impressive! And I think very reasonably priced for what you get.

Sat near the bar and watched the friendly chefs cook our meals - we had the chef's dinner set combination. Portions are small (by our admittedly American standards), but it was delicious and we definitely weren't hungry afterward. Quiet and cozy but refined setting with great jazz playing. Loved it.
