★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very private place in a hidden residential area in South Aoyama. Usually you need to make a reservation but we went there very early and got a seat before everyone arrived. The decoration style is very authentic Japanese outside and inside. They sell Eel box (una chu) only. You can pick from one to three pieces of grilled Eel in the box. The price varies according to how many pieces you have. It's very pricy but the food worths it. Expect 1hr serving time as your eel is individually prepared and slow grilled. The texture is very good, a good balance between well-cooked and fresh-chewy. The sauce is well absorbed in eel meat thanks to the slow cooking. Very tasty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super delicious eels are offered and quantity of rice is good. Charcoal grilled eels with sweat taste soy sauce is very good marriage. Interior and exteriors of this restaurant are traditional way of Japan. Eels in Japan are expensive in these day that you could rarely enjoy this fish, but in special occasion this would be good choice. The table is very limited and here seems to be very popular then you should book a table as you go. It takes about 30 minutes that the dish comes on the table.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional style eel specialty restaurant. The seating is rather small and antiquated but the expertise to prepare eel is outstanding. Many excellent side dishes as well. Don't expect a romantic place but food is deliciously prepared.
