★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We read about Ohitsuzen Tanbo on a few food lists for Tokyo and it met all expectations. The staff was very sweet, the place is cute, and the food was great. The salmon and ikura over rice, which is one of the recommended dishes, is excellent and the price point isn't bad for Tokyo.
There are a variety of ways you can enjoy the ohitsuzen, and although it can get crowded, we went after the rush around 2pm and were immediately seated. We found it very easily, as others have said, it's below the wine cave. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you have 2 hours then go here, if you have less than 1 hour don’t. Long queues during lunch and time for food to get to the table feels like forever. Kitchen is tiny and restaurant operation is weird. But I will say rice tastes delicious as well as the miso soup. Fish is small portion. It’s a bit too pricey too if you get something other than salmon and mackerel.
