★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious Unagi with a reasonable price for the high quality. The restaurant is in a very good location as well. This is definitely in the heart of Tokyo with a very scenic walk through a town that’s modern yet still filled with historical sites. It’s hard to explain but just a real treat in this area. A place to go !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large restaurant with really high quality delicious unagi (eel). They cook it on the first floor, you can watch through the front window; they also have many buckets of live eels. You need to ascend very steep stairs to the 2nd floor and you pay first (credit cards are accepted).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty nice. The Hitsumabushi is a special unagi cooked with Nagoya style. You can mix the unagi and rice with Japanese pepper (sansho), spring onion, and seaweed. Later, you can ask the dashi to make ochazuke as well. Priced at 3400 yen. The shop was called Tenoji before.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great choice for lunch. One of the best unagi meals I’ve ever had. The perfectly cooked eel is sticky and smoky with a hint of sweetness. They open only from 10:45am to 2:30pm and the crowd is mostly senior company executives or tourists.
The crowd seems to thin from 12pm onwards so that’s a safe time to visit.
Save some rice and ask for ochazuke at the end of your meal to be given a little teapot of eel broth. Pour that into your rice to finish your meal with a lovely eel porridge.
