★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little cafe right on the Kamo river. Very friendly staff with a cosy atmosphere. They have opened up the rear of the cafe so you have a view to the river and a breeze coming in. Recommend it for a great break while exploring this area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best places for breakfast in the area! The rice burgers are amazing. I highly recommend the chili con carne rice burger. I went there almost daily during my recent stay in Kyoto, and enjoyed the chit-chat with the very friendly English-speaking staff there. The cafe closes at 3 pm, which I think is a little early, but they do have happy hour on weekends with a nice selection of alcoholic drinks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an excellent stay at the apartment above the restaurant. We had breakfast delivered to our room each morning, which was amazing. I enjoyed all of the rice sandwiches and the view was awesome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really friendly staff members and a wonderful view of Kamogawa River (as long as it’s not too cold outside). I had the yogurt for breakfast, and it was alright but if I came again, it would be for the atmosphere. However, I think it’s definitely worth a visit for a nice, relaxing atmosphere.
