Really fantastic soba, the set we got had soba served in a hot broth, in a cold dipping style and afterwards finished off with soba soup over the remaining soy dip. The place was full of Japanese locals and the service was flawless. Its always good to go to a restaurant that is popular with the locals.
R	Ryan Thurston on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing Soba in Kyoto! I honestly have to say this was probably the best soba I have had in Japan thus far. I highly reccomend getting the set meal with tempura. The noodles had amazing texture and bite to them, and the broth was simple but o so delicious. The soba tea was also very good and warming on a chilly day in Kyoto. I also highly recommend trying the soba shochu if you are not against a little tipple during the day. All in all amazing food, very friendly service and great atmosphere, hands down earned the 5 stars. Additional info for you; there is an English menu available, and they also have downstairs a place you can watch them grind the buckwheat and make the noodles fresh!

We went arnd 1+ pm on a Fri and it was not as crowded as compared to the evening when we went during a previous trip. Ambience was good, we had a private little space. No need to worry if you can't speak Japanese since they also offer an English menu, but we suspect that the choice was slightly limited as compared to the Japanese one (no issues if you are just there for the Soba though!)

The place is very elegant but also very friendly, the hostess spoke really good English and they also had an English menu, so that was a plus. Our waitress spoke little english but she was so attentive and explained everything with mannerisms so we could eat cold soba the proper way. I love how they make you feel welcomed. The food was really tasty. The sake was an experience on its own, the put the sake glass inside a shallow wooden squared bowl and pour the sake until it overflows to the bowl until the bowl is full! Amazing!

Tried their soup based seafood for 2. Its an acquired taste. I loved it but my wife didnt fancy it that much so it up to individual taste. However, we both agreed on the freshness of the ingredients especially the soba. I would say, all dishes are superb as I saw partons slurping up every single strand of noodle. English menus available. Reasonably priced for the great food!

The Kyoto set also included 2 sushi pieces with Soba instead of rice, very tasty with a unique twist. The restaurant has a friendly but authentic vibe. They have English menu and very easy to order. Staff super nice and polite, fast service. Recommend!

The soba noodles were very fresh. We tried both the hot and cold noodles, both are unique in their own way, but cold is definitely the most refreshing. The sashimi was beautiful to look at, and even better to eat. The service was great, and the restaurant was very accessible for English speakers. The meal was a little on the pricier side, but well worth it. If we're ever in Kyoto again we'll definitely be back.
