当時は1日9往復で、運転時間は53分。
最初の横浜駅のあった場所は現在のJR桜木町駅。
新橋は現在の汐留であった。

現在、桜木町駅の東寄りには、初代横浜駅正面外観や仮営業開始当時の時刻表などが刻まれている「鉄道発祥の地記念碑」が、ひっそりとたたずんでいます。
