★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「百谷ダム」は稲葉山地区の生活を支え田畑を潤おす天神川の水源地です。
天神川の水はダムに貯水され放流されてさらに本陣山や稲葉山から流れてくる水を受け入れて袋川へ合流します。
ダムと貯水池を一周してみました。
一周歩いて2キロ30分位でしょうか。
山の谷を削りダムを建設し、貯水面積を測定し掘り進めたり、埋め戻したりと工事は昭和45年から49年までかかりました。そんなことを思いながら先人の方々のご尽力に頭が下がりました。
百谷集落の入口に広い駐車場がありますから利用して歩いて見学をお勧めします。お天気のよい日に自然のまま
の山谷や山並、ダム、水の放水を眺めるのも良いと思います。お子さまを連れて(目は決して離さないで)弁当持ちで楽しまれるのも更に良いです。
