★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Momiji means Japanese maple and in Momijidani, that’s all you will get to see. The colours are lovely and it would be a waste not to stop at the small eatery and have a cup of tea or a bowl of udon while enjoying the sight of falling leaves.

You could see deers in the park also. There is an area with benches where you could sit and enjoy the atmosphere

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely and tranquil park to walk through on your way to the rope-way. The park has a few pit stops for bathrooms and places to eat. Highly recommended to view the location during fall/winter so you can see the changing of the leaves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fourth time I'm here to catch the beautiful autumn foliage. Come in early morning or late afternoon to catch the sunlight. Would recommend at least an hour walking n taking in the autumn foliage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolutely stunning park and island. Deer everywhere, beautiful koi in the ponds. Delicate waterfalls to be found. Really pleasant and a wonderful place to walk around. We enjoyed our time here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful park with a river running through it, it was flowing quite well while we were here, its very beautiful. There are deer roaming around too, they are not scared of people and will walk right up to you! There are heaps of picnic tables as well. It's a nice walk through the park to the ropeway station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful maple leaf valley park is stunning at any time of year. Wander through the beautifully maintained paths under gorgeous trees beautiful at any time of year. Beautiful stream running through. A popular route up to Mt.Misen that takes anywhere from 1-2 hours of stair climbing.
Wild deer are in the park. Interesting small shrines and tea shops offering light meals too.
Picnic areas, public toilets here but no water fountains to refill water bottles needs to be reconsidered especially in hot months. A water bottle refill station at a few areas would help reduce waste and improve health as well as comfort of visitors and hikers.
