★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So inside the shrine you can get a book signed with the seal of the temple/shrine, it's a very nice walk around and you can get your fortunes told on a sheet of paper inside, you can also pay for rituals etc. The building itself is very beautiful to go around. There are limited pictures that are allowed to be taken but this is the view from inside looking outwards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a place where you can feel the coolness and history deeply.Unlike the name, there are not 1,000 tatami mats.The stairs are steep and wheelchair users cannot go.
I think we can enjoy just sitting on the floor and relaxing.
Personally, I recommend the most in miyajima.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfinished Senjokaku Pavilion built in 1587 is located on top of the small hill by Itsukushima shrine. The Samurai Shogun Hideyoshi Hidetomi passes away while building the place so the construction stopped since then and hasn’t resumed. The place may not look luxurious, but has its own simplicity and beauty. Because of location or JPY 100 admission fee, there is hardly anyone so meditating on veranda on sunny and warm day is possible. The place has many small secrets and they are fun to look for as well.
