Definitely worth money for loop transfer.
Also quick way to get to the observation decks on the top.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1800 yen return for an adult is great. It’s actually divided into two gondolas. We only went to the observation deck but you can go on up to the top of the mountain. For the Pokémon go lovers, you’ll be happy to know there is a gym up there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It amazing ride with beautiful scenery. Definitely worth visiting. Views are spectacular. You can hike from the top station to the summit to explore many temples which are set all around the summit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must do. Costs around 1800 iens (round trip) and takes about 1.5-2h to do all the way to the sumit (30 minutes walk - several steps but easy). For those not in good shape 1h is enough (just taking the ropeways and watching the view close to the summit). Not as famous as the temples but the views are insane. Really must go!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worth the visit, we get to see an amazing view of islands which is around there. Once u reach the mountain, there are good places to go around on the hill and do visit the observatory, it’s so beautiful and peaceful to sit and enjoy the view. It’s good to go before the peak season starts, u can avoid queues..!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great views and good services. 1000 yen each way. Good option to take down after walking up. Even if you take cable car, still necessary to hike up a fair bit of stairs to get to top.
Unfortunately there's no drinking water at any of the cable car stations even in the heat. They should offer water fountains/refill stations for people to refill water bottles as the push to buy wasteful plastic bottles from the machines is such a shame.
Clean toilets and resting area as well as small eatery and nearby lookout point.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy way to get up the mountain but I didn’t realize it doesn’t drop you off at the actual temples. You need to hike and additional 15 minutes from where it drops you off to teach the temples but great views regardless.
