★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We offer a package of a tea ceremony - calligraphy and kimono for the birthday of my 2 daughters - it was a really fantastic moment - The team is great really helpfull, patient and dedicated and the activity is suitable for teenagers (12 - 16 years old) - Just try it it is simply great!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect from start to finish! We were three guys going here on our holiday trip and were wondering if this would be kind of awkward. The two lovely ladies who worked there put our worries to shame. Everything was done at a perfect pace and with the right mixture of dignity and fun. Everything went along at a good pace, which let us try out caligraphy and a mini tea ceremony without rushing through and without getting bored. The staff took photos, both with their own camera and with our phone cameras. We got to take home our works of caligraphy art, as well as plenty of photos and good memories. We felt we got a unique insight into some japanese traditions, with some intersting backstory and information. We were the only ones there, so the attention was on us all the time, which was also nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place by chance. The ladies working here where so welcoming and extremely lovely. We where given a tour of the shrine and took part in a tea ceremony. The thing i enjoyed the most was just having a good conversation with our hostess. I would love to visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My boyfriend and I loved our experience at Okeiko - one of the top highlights of our trip. Our two hosts were extremely welcoming and kind. They showed us so many different cultural experiences gave us lessons in the proper etiquette and techniques for a tea ceremony, calligraphy and cooking. It was all fabulous and we would highly recommend this stop to any travellers coming to Hiroshima looking for a unique cultural experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not miss this experience!!! You can’t leave Japan without a okeiko experience. Some in our group said it was even better than similar kimono/tea ceremony experiences they’ve done in Kyoto.
The ladies that work at okeiko are absolutely lovely! They helped our group of 10 get dressed in kimonos in record time. Then indulged our lengthy photo shoot in the beautiful gardens before starting the tea ceremony. They even send you all the photos they take of you on their company camera.
Everything was flawless. A great group event or for just two people. They have staff that speak English. You can easily book on their website or via email. They were very responsive on email.
