IMO, this place is decent but overrated. We arrived at around 1:45pm on a Monday afternoon with 8 people waiting in queue. The staff took our order while we were waiting. We were seated after 25 minutes, waited another 10-15 min for the ramen to be served. There is a minimum order of one bowl of ramen per customer. The broth is on the light side with a choice of either white or black soy sauce broth. We ordered a white soy sauce chicken ramen and a black soy sauce pork ramen,both served with yuzu peel which elevated the flavor.

Very nice Ramen, as usual in Japan - excellent food for moderate price. One of my better Ramen experiences! The broth was not too heavy and everything seems light and fresh. Staff was friendly and served with a michelin level precision.

A small but cozy dining place worth waiting. We waited for around 40min during lunch time. Recommend Wangyu Ramen. Personally, I love Wangyu rice:) but you must order Ramen in order to have the rice:)

The classic ramen with egg- I'd say the broth is really salty and the chashu is one dry piece of meat but the rest of the toppings are flavorful. They bring by a small plate of Yuzu shavings which you add into your ramen along with dried vinegar kelp; somehow this makes for a fantastic flavor in the ramen. The restaurant is small and there is often a wait, so come during a time before you get too hungry and expect to wait in line on the street!

How ramen have been rewarded Michelin BG? This place will be your answer. Ramen noodle is delicious. Soup is very good and topping include side dish is something you are looming for. I have visited this place on 8AM by expect it will be not crowded but I am wrong. I have waited for 45 minutes before have a table so if you wanna save your time, you should visit before 6PM.

We went on a Thursday at 8:30pm and got inline for about an hour for a bowl of noodle. And let me tell you, it’s worth it! Many items were sold out while we stand in line, so we went with the basic shoyu and wagyu black soy ramen. The broth was so flavorful, sweet and umami and authentic.

The ramen was really good, no kidding. I think this might be the best ramen I had in Kyoto back in 2019. No wonder they're in the 2020 Michelin Guide, well deserved. The queue that I had was around ~30 minutes, stretches from inside to outside the shop as well. Worth it though, everything about the ramen was perfect.
