★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 春と秋が見頃です。電柱とミラーが無ければ☆5つ！
道幅が狭く駐車場もないので車ではゆっくり見ることが出来ません。
遥か下の渓谷も綺麗ですが車からは見えづらいです。
奥多摩湖には無料駐車場があるので、そこから景色の良いむかし道を徒歩で移動し、適当な場所からバスで駐車場に戻るのがおすすめです。
 Spring and autumn are in full bloom. If you don't have utility poles and mirrors ☆ 5!
The road is narrow and there is no parking lot, so you can't see it slowly by car.
The valley far below is also beautiful, but it is hard to see from the car.
There is a free parking lot on Lake Okutama, so it is recommended that you walk along the scenic old road and return to the parking lot by bus from a suitable place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 今日(11-22)、奥多摩むかしみちを通りました。いろは楓は、見事でしたが、惣岳渓谷は、散りはじめていました。少し遅かったみたいです。山葵畑は、綺麗な緑でした。ハイヵ-の皆さま、迷惑を掛けました。
Today (11-22), I passed Okutama Mukashimichi. Kaede Iroha was wonderful, but the Sodake Valley was beginning to fall. It seems that it was a little late. The wasabi field was beautiful green. Hikers, I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

むかしみちを車でも進む際は1.7〜2.0㍍幅なので自信の無い方は戻ることをオススメします。途中で自信がなくなったプリウスに目の前で強引にUターンされ50㍍バックさせられた方は堪りません。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 楓の木というより、それを含めた全体の景色が良いですね。細めの道沿いでガードレールもさほどではないので、安全には注意が必要かも。

奥多摩むかし道の途中にあるスポット。
一際大きな楓の木があり、とても綺麗で目を惹く風景だ。
この日は、楓が真っ赤に紅葉?していて、とても素晴らしいかったです。
歩いて散策する人、自転車?♂️で走る人、バイクで通る人がいる。車は道が狭いのと止めるスペースが無いのでやめた方がいいだろう。
この楓の木の近くの奥多摩むかし道の入口から奥多摩湖の手前までの区間は舗装してあるのでゆっくり通るには気持ちのいい道です。
旧道のため、道の端には枯葉や枝、小石が落ちていて、アスファルトも割れていたりするし、歩行者とすれ違ったりするので、自転車やバイクの場合はゆっくり走ろう！

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 奥多摩むかし道の途中の崖に立つ「いろは楓」は樹齢約200年といわれ、秋の紅葉の頃になるとひときわ目を引く存在。
奥多摩湖より時期が少しずれて見頃となる。
