One of the best stakes I had in Japan. The stakes were perfectly cooked and had great flavor. The grill beef sushi is amazing and vegetables are delicious as well.

A very very good place to try Wagyu. I’ve had it quite a few times and it’s always very good, this was no exception. I ordered the tenderloin and my girlfriend ordered the same, it came to around 50,000 yen in the end which is not cheap however if you want the best you have to pay for it! That came along on a set menu of different plates but really you are there for the Wagyu. An excellent experience and one that when I come back to Kyoto I will sample again.

Despite being travel worn and dressed too casually for a place like this, we were still treated with respect and given an excellent meal experience. It was very quiet and relaxing. The staff were not invasive, yet if we needed something they were not far away. And the food was outstanding. My brother got the famous kobe steak, which I tried and we agreed it was amazing. I got the less expensive hamburg steak, which was also very good, and elegantly presented.

Incredible beef and grilled vegetables in an elegant spare setting. Staff was friendly and most spoke good English, and grilled tofu for our one vegetarian. Expensive, but totally worth it. Make a reservation and go !

Best meal I’ve ever had, hands down. Worth more than every penny you’ll spend, but just remember that it’s really no more expensive than a nice, classy place in D.C. or N.Y.C., so don’t listen to anyone who complains about the price. You’d pay ten times what they charge you here for something half as good in the states. The sukiyaki literally melted in our mouths. The chef is amazing, and helped two gaijin understand how to make the most of our meal. Do not hesitate to go here! We went to the full restaurant on the 2nd floor, and the interior was incredibly classy and comfortable.

Dropped in on this refined teppanyaki restaurant during lunch. It was a weekday and not busy so I was seated immediately. The portion was more than enough for me (150g), especially with the additions like appetizer (cold soup), pickles, miso soup etc. You can add beef flakes to the rice which was a nice touch. Service was impeccable as with all the respectable restaurants in Japan and I enjoyed the entire relaxing dining experience.

Best steak I've ever had! The staff are incredible here! The appetizer, wagyu roast beef with garlic chips, and smoked salmon with sweet basil, was beautifully done. Next was the salad and bamboo soup that were both light and refreshing before moving on to the main course. Had the sirloin and tenderloin. Both cooked to perfection by Chef Nomura-san. Not only was it cooked perfectly, but in small amounts throughout the dinner so that each in our party was always enjoying a freshly cooked piece of steak! I should note here that the steak was so well done that nothing was needed to make it delicious. However, following the chef's recommendations for dipping sauces, there were ways to enhance the flavors and take the steak to even greater heights! Simply amazing! After the steak and seasonal vegetables were gone came the garlic fried rice. There is plain rice as an option but if you like garlic even a little I highly recommend this. Best garlic fried rice I've ever had. The desert was an orange ice cream with candied orange zest, orange sauce, a couple of orange slices, and fresh mint. A perfect ending to a perfect meal. I had the hot sake with mine and it paired perfectly, being a smooth and mellow flavor. My friend went with a Cabernet and also really enjoyed the pairing. All in all this is a must see place. Make sure to call the day before and reserve your seats as it is a very small place and this is not an experienced that should be passed by.
