B	Benoit D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place, nice food but... The wait for our food was waaaay too long while tables around us were served quickly. Coincidence? Maybe. We had to ask twice. Only got すみません as explanations. Unfortunately, this kind of situation is getting more and more common with the Covid situation. Please keep in mind we are all human beings and that Foreigner-looking people in Japan right now actually live in Japan, struggle with the exact same complicated situation and would appreciate to be treated like everyone else.

But it's better to make a reservation, our hotel made one for us. On the 3rd floor they have independent booths and the air quality is a lot better on this floor. Avoid the 4th floor, people smoke and it's nasty up there.

There is variety of food for any taste, even the most peculiar one. The only downside is the price. The bigger skewers you see in my pictures cost 590 yen and it is not a lot at all. So bottomline, if you want good food and you ready to pay a bit more. This is a good place. Plus the environment is welcoming and the service was nice.
B	Butang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alright if you guys are looking for a good izakaya in kyoto at night this is the place for you. The place is super packed and I highly recommend to do a reservation so you dont have to wait. Since the place is really busy, ordering alot at once before hand would be your best move. Price point is worth it for the quality and taste and just a really good place to talk, have some drinks and eat some good food. I dont even like hotate but that garlic hotate is really good.
