★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 導水路に水が流れているときはレンガ造りの出入り口から音がするらしいですが、写真を撮った日は発電の水を止めている日でした。代わりに琵琶湖の水特有の臭いにおいがしました。
風致公園の上り坂から貯水池へ向かうこともできますが、急斜面の林を抜けなければならず結構危ないです。林の中は鹿の糞が大量にあります。
頂上の大吉山展望台から興聖寺の参道へ続く道を歩くと貯水池まで50mの看板が出てくるので、そこから歩いた方が安全です。
地下調整池の概要はググって出てくる風致対策にまつわる土木学会の論文に詳しく書かれています。

You can go uphill from the scenic park to the reservoir, but it's quite dangerous because you have to go through a forest on a steep slope. There are a lot of deer droppings in the forest.
If you walk along the road leading from the Daikichiyama Observatory at the top to the approach to Kosho-ji Temple, you will see a sign that is 50 meters from the reservoir, so it is safer to walk from there.
