★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 宇治発電所導水路は、瀬田川の南郷付近から宇治発電所まで続く、約11キロの隧道です。
その地下水路の途中で、4箇所地上に姿を現す場所が有ります。この場所が4箇所中の2箇所目になります。
※この場所では、上部にネットが張られておらず、激しい流れを実際に見ることが可能です。トンネル上部まで水位があり、溢れんばかりの濁流は迫力満点です。資料によると琵琶湖疏水の７倍強の水量があるそうで、流れを見ていると吸い込まれそうな恐怖心を感じるほどです。
この場所は、砕石工場への入口で、ダンプ等の通行量が非常に多いので邪魔をしないように注意して見学しましょう。
