★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 江戸期の名所図会に、六斎念仏の笛 太鼓 獅子舞が大道で演じられている絵図を見て六斎念仏の本寺に一度は来たくて伺いました。観光で訪れる人も誰一人いなく静かに山門をくぐらせて頂きました。ここにその昔、秀吉公が鷹狩からの帰途干し菜を献上し干菜寺の号を賜ったという事実を、歴史はもの言わず伝えてくれました。原型を留めた屋外芸能の干菜寺系の六斎念仏は、重要無形民俗文化財として伝承保存されていますので、その機会に訪れたく思いました。
At the Meisho-zue in the Edo period, I visited the main temple of Rokusai Nenbutsu once after seeing a picture of the Rokusai Nenbutsu flute, a drum, and a lion dance performed on the road. There was no one visiting for sightseeing and I passed through the mountain gate quietly. History tells us the fact that Hideyoshi once presented the dried vegetables on his way home from Takagari and received the title of the dried vegetables temple. The Rokusai Nenbutsu, an outdoor performing art that retains its original shape, has been handed down and preserved as an important intangible folk cultural property, so I wanted to take this opportunity to visit it.
