In 2018, I saw it for the first time on my winter trip in Kyoto. Jorinji is said to be a temple of the Jodo sect, and the principal image is the Amitabha triad statue. It is known as the Hagi Temple. At the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, Katsu Kaishu used to be a shukubo in Kyoto. The red stamp was only written down, but I bought it because there was something already written in the red stamp book.

It is a temple of Katsukaifune, which is famous as the temple of the azure. Although it is right next to the bustling Demachiyanagi Station, it is quiet and you can see the garden for free. The hot Kyoto will become cooler as the buds begin to bloom. Maybe the autumn of Kyoto starts here.

The famous samurai in Kyoto are the Nashi Shrine and the temple here, Jorinji. It will be released specially when the strawberry blooms. It was a stay at Katsu Kaifun in Kyoto and the best room overlooking Higashiyama was used from the window.

Jorinji Temple near Demachiyanagi Station is called Hagi Temple, and I saw in an article in the Kyoto Shimbun that Hagi was in full bloom, so I visited it. There were some people, but I enjoyed the Hagi flowers.

For the first time, I saw Hagi flowers. It's a small and cute flower. White and purple were also good. Various butterflies were flying. It's a nice temple. The best time to see it is from the end of September to the beginning of October.

It is a temple of the Jodo sect called Jorinji Temple. It was founded in the first year of the Tensho era (1573) by a Buddhist priest, Rodo, and was originally built in Kojinguchi, Teramachi (Kamigyo Ward). Since its foundation, it has a deep connection with Chion-in, and when the final system was established, it occupied the position of Chion-in, the head temple. However, in the 11th year of Kanbun (1671), a large fire in Teramachi burned down Dou. After that, it moved to its current location, and in 1698, the main hall was rebuilt by Eiyo. It is said that Katsu Kaishu used this temple as a shukubo at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate. In the main hall, the statue of Amitabha triad, the principal idol, is enshrined, and in the Jizo-do, the Jizo-son, who is said to have gathered the faith of people who come and go on the Wakasa Highway from ancient times, is enshrined. In addition, this temple is popularly known as the "Hagi Temple," and in early autumn, red and white Hagi flowers bloom all over the precincts. In addition, "Hagikuyo" is held every year on Respect for the Aged Day in September. March 15, 2021 Magnolia is in full bloom.

It's a small temple with an atmosphere like a different world in the town. Hagi was in full bloom, and the scent of flowers was full when I entered the gate. I wanted to relax if there was a place to sit down.

I want to visit Chotokuji Temple next to the north when I love cherry blossoms and this temple when I love Hagi. Of course, history fans would like to visit this place as Katsu Kaishu had settled in Kyoto.
