自家用車だと相当狭い峠道を延々と昇る必要があります。バス?を利用するか、徒歩で散策路を楽しみながら登られることをおすすめします。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 金峯神社階段下の社務所の横にゲートがあり、そこを降りていきますとすぐに「義経の隠れ塔」に行けます。神社にお参りした後、こちらに降りてバス停前まで戻るのがオススメです。隠れ塔はとてもしっかりした造りで、隠れるには立派すぎる気もします。北斜面で冬はとても寒く感じますが、眼下に吉野の街が見えますし、遠く音羽山などが見えます。義経は追手が来るのをいち早く見つけることができたかもしれません。すぐ下に展望台があり、その下にやや広い駐車場があります。神社の一番下の鳥居から分かれた道がここまでつながっています。ここに車を止めて逆に金峯神社に上るコースもありますが、結構きついです。
