U	U K on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新潟市内にある実業家、新津恒吉が建てた迎賓館です。入館料は800円(一日バス乗車券提示で720円)でした。館内は撮影禁止です。施設自体は大きくはなく、紹介映像(20分)含めて40分あれば十分観賞できます。入館当時はルネ・ラリック等のガラス細工展が行われていましたが、一室に数点置かれているだけでおまけといった規模でした。内装は素晴らしいですが規模を考えると入館料に見合う内容とは思えませんでした。 A guesthouse built by Tsuneyoshi Niitsu, a businessman in Niigata city. s	sakai kyouko on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 石油精製で一代で財を成した新津恒吉が、自宅の敷地の一角に、迎賓館として建設した洋館です。それほど大きな建物ではありませんが、イギリスの間、フランスの間、日本間、未公開ではありますが、ドイツの間とそれぞれに、各国の雰囲気の意匠を凝らした室内装飾、重厚な階段、繊細なステンドグラス、美しい照明器具等、見所が多い、大変素晴らしい建物です。 JR新潟駅からは少し離れた所にありますが、駅前からの観光循環バスを利用すれば15分程で行くことができます。 Tsunekichi Niitsu, who made a fortune in oil refining for a generation, built a Western-style building as a guesthouse in a corner of his home. H	Hosonuma Yusuke on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ものすごく豪華かつ立派で、歴史的に非常に価値のある建造物だと思いました。かつて新潟の石油王だった方が、外国の来賓客を招いて商談するために立てた建物とのことで、各国の建造やモチーフを取り入れた内装は本当に素晴らしいものでした。職員の方がいろいろと説明してくださったので、いろいろと深く見ることが出来て個人的にはよかったです。他レビューでそうした説明が不要とおっしゃっている方もいますが、そういう方は一言そのように伝えればいいと思いました（あるいは説明が必要かどうか事前に選択できると良いのかもしれません）。小スペースかつ内覧の撮影が不可で¥800が高いという意見も十分わかりますが、間違いなく他ではそうそう見ることの出来ないレベルの建造物なので、そうしたものが好きな方は気にいると思うので是非オススメしたいです。ただ、写真好きとしては内部が撮影できないのは本当に残念だったので、いずれ緩和されることを期待したいです（本物は実物を見ないと楽しめないので、個人的には集客価値の方が勝ると思うのですが・・・）。なお、3Fのドイツの間は見学できなかったのですが、これは消防法に引っかかるためとのことです。館内の写真で見ることは出来ましたが、歴史的価値が高いと思うので、いずれ見学できるようになることを期待しています（非常階段などを設置する必要があるとのことで、現実的には難しそうですが・・・）。 I thought it was a very luxurious and magnificent building, and historically very valuable. 七	七面鳥放浪記 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昭和シェル石油の前身の一つである新津石油を創業した新津恒吉の御屋敷を博物館として公開したものです。二〇二一年九月時点での入館料は八〇〇円です。京都東山にある清水寺の二倍かかりますが、見ごたえは二倍どころか二割にも遠く及びません。和洋の建物が連結した構造は国重文の旧呉鎮守府司令長官官舎に似ていますが、あちらは和洋両方の建物を内から外からじっくり堪能できて二五〇円なのに、こちらの和は外観のみ、洋の方もいろいろ制約があります。近隣に限っても、国重文に指定されている擬洋風建築で無料公開されている建物が二棟（新潟県議会旧議事堂と旧新潟税関庁舎）あります。実用本位のそれらに対してこちらは贅を尽くした建物ではありますが、根が貧乏な私はどうしても「八〇〇円払ってこんだけ？」と考えてしまうので楽しみきれません。生まれてこの方お金で苦労したことのない方、悠々自適でもはやお金で苦労する心配のない方はどうぞ。 The mansion of Tsunekichi Niitsu, the founder of Niitsu Oil, one of the predecessors of Showa Shell Sekiyu, is open to the public as a museum.
