★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 西行庵から四方正面堂跡、安禅寺蔵王堂跡を見ながら歩いて登るとこの宝塔院跡に出ます。ここは北朝方による吉野攻撃で大きな戦があった場所で多宝塔や大小の堂塔が点在していました。しかし明治の廃仏毀釈によりすべて消滅しています。今は心地よい東屋があり、休憩したりお弁当を食べたりすることができます。ここから奥へ続く山道は大峯山への修験の道となっていて、1㎞ほど行くと女人結界碑があります。またここから金峯神社へは下ってすぐです。金峯神社からここまで自転車で上がってくる元気な人も見かけました。奥の千本を満喫したらこちらで人の行き交いを眺めるのも楽しいです。
 If you walk up from Saigyo-an while looking at the ruins of the Shikata-mae-do and the Zaodo-do of Anzenji, you will reach the site of this Hotoin. This is the place where there was a big battle in the attack on Yoshino by the Northern Court, and there were many treasure towers and large and small temples. However, all of them have disappeared due to the abolition of Buddha in the Meiji era. Now there is a comfortable eastern store where you can take a break and eat lunch. The mountain road leading from here to the back is the road for Shugendo to Mt. Omine, and if you go about 1 km, you will find the Women's Barrier Monument. Also, it is a short walk from here to Kinmine Shrine. I saw some energetic people who came up from Kinmine Shrine by bicycle to this point. After enjoying the thousand books in the back, it is fun to watch the traffic of people here.
