E	Ev Ry on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place after spending whole day hiking around and visiting Onsen. Got some fresh food in the buffet and extra dessert of chocolate cake. this simple but delish dessert amazed me. Love the place. Very friendly people around and plenty of food varieties.

You can see from the pictures that the place was actually half empty, the buffet was full of food and it was 14:07, typical lunch time in the area. Racism against foreigners? Ridiculous.

After spending the morning to Ohara, we stopped here for lunch before getting on the bus back to Kyoto and we couldn't be more happy with our choice. The restaurant has a buffet rich of local vegetables and delicacies, which can be paired with rice dishes or the speciality of the day. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, every detail is well thought and the food is flavourful and delicious, such a hidden gem! We wanted to try typical products from Ohara and we found this to be the best way to do so, the meal was very reasonable (3400 yen for two people) and highly satisfying.

Even though there are empty tables, we were queued for around 20 mins. I think it is because of the understaffing or avoidance of over-crowded in the restaurant. For small local shop like this, I can understand the situation and respect the policy of the shop. Recommended
S	Sooa Kim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant was the biggest reason i went to Ohara again. I really loves the nature and the view of Ohara(it’s just amazing, more than Kyoto’s view). But i really wanted to try Kirin’s meal again that my mother loved so much. This restaurant offers very, very healthy food with all-you-can-eat style. And these are all vegetables, but I seriously don’t know how vegetables can be delicious that much!! It’s so mysterious. You can choose what you will eat with that vegetables between 4 kinds of onigiri and daily menu(for me, it was a chicken curry). And i choose chicken curry and it was so delicious too. I think the cook must be just a genius. Also, there’s a river right beside the cafe, so you can enjoy nature too while you have a lunch. I recommend you to go to Ohara and Kirin for the beautiful experience of nature.
