★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best Japanese banh mi! Bread is so crunchy and they’re ham is so, so good. I was not expecting the hot peppers to actually be spicy, so it was a good surprise! (They can make it without the spice as well) Great for take out and eating at the river?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first time trying banh mi, and was not disappointed! I took the banh mi with ham set including the soup of the day and a drink. The bread was nice and crispy and the contents of the sandwich itself went together really well. I like my food spicy and found the level to be just right. (The staff will ask if you'd like it to be spicy or not beforehand) The soup also hit the spot on a cold day. They also have non-meat options. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite small, but there's always the option to take out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a find!!! This is a delicious, cute little Vietnamese banh mi shop in Kyoto. This one is worth the visit if you're in the area. Store owners are super kind and the shop decor is modern, rustic and cute. Great for sitting and relaxing a bit for lunch after visiting the Heian Shrine or walking along Kamogawa river. The food is delicious - I've had homemade bahn mi made by a Vietnamese family before and this shop was 10x more delicious!
