1. I got a upgrade kimono package and they gave me the basic one.
2. The photographer is not like them website said that professional and she is a old woman took 4-6 pictures and they not print out only sent me email. Thanks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So I really really wanted to like this place more since this was my first experience with wearing a kimono. I was so excited to dress up with my husband since it is our first time in Kyoto and we booked a photoshoot for our honeymoon. But the experience here was a bit disappointing. Barely anyone here knew any English and the whole process was very rushed. There were at least 3 other girls with me getting dressed at the same time as me in a tiny room. It made the experience feel very unimportant and I felt that I didn't get the attention or service I paid the price for. Another issue is the small selection of kimonos available. I was pointed to a tiny corner and told to choose from a very small amount of kimonos. Maybe 10-15 choices. Also, I felt that any little issue was considered an "upgrade" and was charged for the service. Want pretty hair? Pay more. Want to drop your kimono off at another branch? Upgrade. Want to drop it off tomorrow morning? Upgrade. Overall, I just don't feel like the price I paid reflected the service/quality I was expecting. It was upsetting to walk around and see so many other pretty kimonos being worn by other people. Makes me feel like I should have just went to another store. So before you go, beware of the small selection and possible rushing of the employees to get you done. No personal service at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even if you can't speak or understand Japanese you shouldn't have any problems with the staff. They don't speak a lot of English but the instructions are easy to follow and they are quite experienced in understanding and being understood.
The kimono range is not as wide as the in their bigger shops in Kyoto station, but they offer large kimonos for tall and big people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think this place is one of unique stores in Kyoto that any tourist should pay a visit !! Not only we can rent kimono or yukata, but there's also japanese accessories shop that have many aesthetics things and also cute photo spot! I do really love their taste of art.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For 7600 yen total (booked online), we got the premium couples kimono plan. It includes picking your own kimono, matching bag, shoes, selfie stick rental, free hair service for the girl with a simple hair ornament and pictures taken by the staff. I now understand why kimono rentals cost what it does because of the amount time and work it takes to dress someone in one! There are so many layers and towels and elastics and belts to hold everything perfectly in place. The people working here are sweet and really detail oriented. We were both done in under an hour. I felt like the kimono selection was a little limited in terms of things that match my taste, partly because of my size. I saw a lot of nicer kimonos on the street worn by other people, but they might have paid for pricier plans!
I would say you should plan to do a bulk of your sightseeing either before or after you get in the kimono, because it’s a little hard to walk around and it’s hard to breathe... The pictures will be sent to your email a few days later. Overall, the whole process was easy and smooth.

Their location is very ideal for those not wanting to walk a long ways to Kiyamizu Temple.
My appointment wasn’t until near closing time, and they reached out to me in regards to my reservation and fit me in earlier than my set time.
They were very friendly and are quick and thorough with their work.
Highly recommended!
