Great Kumamoto style ramen. Their thick pork bone soup, is intense in flavour but surpisingly without the often disliked smell from porc bone, nor the chemical smell you get from cheap pork. Taste the "Ta-ro Men" with the soup with well cooked diced melting pork and cabbage, which is their specialty.

Not only the best Keika in Tokyo, but also the best Keika in Japan, that means the best Keika in known universe. Currently, only 1st floor in business. And best ramen in Shinjuku. Small place, quick and quality service. Taste depends on who's cooking, when you see this place from outside, if you see beard men, you are very lucky!

It's been a long time It is a long-established store of Kumamoto ramen in Shinjuku. I like unusual noodles and soups. There seems to be a strong fan.

This Ramen chain is recommended by my Japanese colleague, as this one of her favorite ramen place. Typical ramen restaurant with vending machine. The inside is very narrow, only 9 seats on the first floor. Delicious soup with thick noodles. Too much fat on the pork belly. It’s good, but not my favorite ramen.

The broth is ideally creamy and its strength is well balanced, but it lacks flavor. The egg is hard boiled, and the shashu[シャシュ] is insipid. The kaedama (refill) costs 100 yen. The other meat (Ooniku/ta-ro[大肉/たーロー]) is very nice. The place is very small and there is a second floor accessible via tiny metallic stairs. The service is extremely quick and the cook is nice.

The service was VERY quick but the product was underwhelming. The meat was fatty and noodles were undercooked (and I like my noodles a bit hard!). The restaurant also had a sterile smell to it which turned me off immediately. Go for the quick service.

Fast, ok flavor. The restaurant itself is small, narrow. The moment I walked in I can smell a weird, sewer smell. But there is a air conditioner running so it isn’t a huge deal. It took less than a minute for them to server the food, it is common in this area. The food is pretty decent. Though I was surprised how hard the noodles are. It almost feels like raw. Then I saw the poster on wall, it appears to be their special way of cooking. To be continued
