The price is not high for a tourist spot, and you can enjoy delicious ramen normally. Disappointing things first, soup had literally no flavor, I tried to save it with some spices around, which made things even worse. Butter was very small and couldn't taste it in the soup. I really didn't like the noodles as well, some squishy weird stuff. Veggies were just chopped up and thrown into the soup. Again, no flavor. Felt like literally eating raw cabbage. Only good thing about it was its little piece of meat which was tasty. One, little, very thin piece...and staff there gave me a smile, which didn't even feel genuine. Everyone can have a bad day, so I'm giving +1 star.

My husband had the salt ramen (#2) and I just admit after sneaking a spoon full of his broth I wish I had ordered it. We topped it off with an order of gyoza. Booth and bar seating as well as traditional japanese seating. A ten minute walk from kakunodate station, right before heading north for the samuria houses. English menu and numbered pictures to help order, helpful and pleasant staff. Bumped this up to 5 stars because the chef chased me two blocks to give me my umbrella.
