茉	茉莉 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 現在、駅直結のホテルを建設中で駅ビルによくある土産類を買える店はいわきチョコレートと改札内にあるNEWDAYS以外にはない状態です。お土産等を買いたい場合は、駅前のラトブでの購入をおすすめします。ちなみにNEWDAYSでは、いわき名物のうにめし等の駅弁も少しありました。観光案内所の隣にコインロッカーあり。 Currently, a hotel directly connected to the station is under construction, and there is no store other than Iwaki Chocolate and NEWDAYS inside the ticket gate where you can buy souvenirs that are common in station buildings. If you want to buy souvenirs, we recommend you to buy them in Latov in front of the station. By the way, at NEWDAYS, there were some ekiben such as sea urchin rice, which is a specialty of Iwaki. There is a coin locker next to the tourist information center.
A	AnchorBlues on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 常磐線の中では、特急ひたちをはじめとして多くの列車の終着駅となる代表的な駅。そのためか駅の近くに多くの車両が安まっており、どこまでが駅でどこまでが車両基地なのかよく分からない印象を受けました。「拠点の駅」という感じがして大変良いものでした。上り方面、この駅からしばらくは磐越東線と常磐線が並走し途中でどちらもトンネルを抜けるのですが、磐越東線は昔ながらの煉瓦造りのトンネルなのに対し常磐線は複線分繰り抜いたコンクリートのトンネルで、それぞれの路線の特色が出ていて面白いなと思いました。 On the Joban Line, this is a typical station that is the terminal station for many trains, including limited express Hitachi. Perhaps because of this, many vehicles are cheap near the station, and I got the impression that it was not clear how far the station was and how far the depot was. It felt like a "base station" and was very good. In the up direction, the Ban-Etsuto Line and the Joban Line run side by side for a while from this station, and both pass through the tunnel, but the Ban-Etsuto Line is a traditional brick tunnel, while the Joban Line is a double-tracked concrete. I thought it was interesting to see the characteristics of each line in the tunnel.
H	Hidenori Takeda on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 特急から各駅停車への乗り替え時に数十分ほど過ごしました。また2022/3の地震の際には，宿泊地最寄り駅からこの駅までタクシーで来ました。思った以上に大きな駅で改札内にコンビニもあるので便利でした。改札内には有料の業務スペースまであり驚きました。 I spent tens of minutes when transferring from the limited express to the local train. Also, during the 2022/3 earthquake, I took a taxi from the station closest to my accommodation to this station. It was convenient because it was a bigger station than I expected and there was a convenience store inside the ticket gate. I was surprised that there was even a paid business space inside the ticket gate.
