小2～6まで海浜自然の家に1日ステイに行く際にここで降りて、シャトルバス（常磐交通バス）に乗って行く際の待ち時間によく眺めてました
しかし、3月の大幅なダイヤ改正により無人駅になり、不便になったと思います（バスは数年前からなくなってますが）、平日ならば駅の近くまでバスも行くので沿線住民にとっては実をゆうとそうでもないらしいですけど

駅舎は木造の駅舎で、自動改札はありません。
待合室を完備し、自動券売機は切符と入場券しか購入できません。
1番ホームは上りのいわき方面。
2番ホームは下りの富岡方面となっており、2番ホームへの連絡は古レールを活用した跨線橋となってます。
引き込み線の後が見られる。

四ツ倉駅がリニューアル工事中です。
最終的には反対側からも出入りできるようになるようです。
案内図が４つありますが、手書きのものは歴史を感じるお店や会社がずらりです。
