D	D H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the flagship store of Inoda Coffee and has a beautiful main seating room as well as outdoor seating and a separate smoking area. It’s about a 5-7 minute walk from exit 5 on Karasuma Oike St. and you can also walk here from Sanjo St if you’re up for it. A wonderful place for breakfast, coffee and cakes!

A	Anis T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must visit if you have an hour or so in the morning while in Kyoto. The original shop for well-renowned Inoda Coffee that has a long history dating back to 1940. So-called morning sets, that is usually a sandwich and a coffee, are quite popular early in the morning. Expect to wait in line, but it is worth it, and bearable as the line moves rather quickly thanks to many seats. This particular branch has preserved many parts of the historical shop such the outside garden. You can also order classical Japanese style coffee like "Vienne". By default, coffee comes before or with the meal, so if you prefer to drink it after the meal, make sure to mention it. You can buy a a bag of "Arabian Pearl" coffee as a souvenir from the shop in the first floor. This blend has been used by the shop since its opening. Last note, the club sandwiches are really good!
J	Jo Man on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favourite coffee shop in Kyoto. I love their beef cutlet sandwich. But this time I tried their luncheon meat breakfast set. The luncheon meat is really tasty and very Hong Kong Style, haha. Their pearl coffee still nice.

Coffee beans aren't exactly to my personal preference as it's abit acidic for me but the cakes... oh my... I would come for the cakes... so many to choose from ? you can buy the cakes and different coffee beans from their front store.

The sandwich is tasty and coffee is of good standard. Great atmosphere and love the uniform. You can so see the old equipment and see what kyoto very first cafe must have looked like over 70 years ago.
