The award winning soba is definitely the best I've ever had. It was "al dente" and soup was very flavorful. The flavors of the soup was elevated after adding different ingredients - lime, onion and seaweed. Wish I had visited the store earlier so that I could have had more soba (I visited at 10pm and couldn't eat more)! Ramen was also good but not as surprising as soba.

Pretty good. But also not super good. The tsukemen was tasty no doubt but kinda lacked a bit of depth. The I really don't like whole wheat noodles but I understand that this is a personal preference so im not gonna hate for that. Overall very slurpy and tasty but didn't quite hit the spot today.

Food was really good. Tsukemen ramen was very good experience since the changing flavours of the condiments have a dynamic eating experience. Ramen was good, but is a little spicy.

My first ramen spot in Kyoto. Yum! I absolutely loved the rich, clean broth. Noodles were perfect, and the added citrus made all the difference. When we came, it wasn’t crazy busy, the establishment had a relaxed, clean & calm atmosphere.

We stumbled upon this place bc Ippudo was too busy. This place was pretty close by and was only identifiable by its "tsukemen" and "ramen" advertisements in Japanese. It is directly across from a restaurant called Rakusenro. The menu is fairly simple - tsukemen (which the restaurant recommends) and ramen. And then you can pick your size. Ordering: You order by using the ticket/vending machine. (And don't worry... you can click English so it's even easier) Stick in some money. Pick ramen/tsukemen in the size designated. And then you can order your sides (everything, some, or just egg) And your alcohol. Give your meal tickets to the host/hostess who was helping you. Wait to get seated. Lalalala. It took about 10 minutes to get seated after ordering since a line had developed. When seated, they immediately bring our your meal. There is ice water and cups in front of you. Tsukemen and ramen: both were really great. I'm so used to the American version (like Tsujita in Los Angeles), where the broth is super salty and thick... but the broth for both the tsukemen and ramen were wonderfully light but flavorful. I came here for round two of my meal (after plates of tonkatsu), but we finished off a regular tsukemen w everything/sides and a small ramen w extra egg. The broth was a kinda fishy(?), but it was really delicious.

Good Ramen, noodles cooked to perfection at a good price Chicken Ramen is flavour full yet light. The chick is tasty and tender, love the egg done to perfection. The pork Ramen broth (ski mi? Style) is tasty and thick. Pork ramen is my pick but if you like a ramen that is less over powering then go the chicken. Both very good ramen

Incredible and unbelievable experience. You will be able to enjoy one of the most delicious Japanese tsuke-men noodles, which you dip noodles into the soup. Furthermore, all the staff are extremely friendly and I can assure that you feel cozy while waiting for the noodles and eating them. Don't miss them.
