The pattiserie CAN be eaten on the table.
YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL YOU'RE OUT OF THE PLACE TO EAT THE BOULANGERIE.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place looks better than the food tastes. We ordered from the counter and had to sit in a different designated area. Sandwiches were not good at all. Sweet pastries were pretty good.

Felt like a very premium breakfast for my family.
Wandering around Kyoto we stumbled upon this patisserie. So glad that we did.
The savoury and sweet items were all top class.
We actually came back the next morning at my daughters request for her birthday breakfast.
The staff remembered us and I very briefly mentioned that it was my daughters birthday and that she asked to come back.
Half an hour later the staff arrived at our table and presented my daughter with an amazing platter of Petit fours, beautiful fresh fruit and Happy Birthday written in chocolate.
This was a very surprising gift from the staff which created a wonderful memory my daughter will never forget.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mostly, people are very pleasant and kind. I’ve had a very bad experience and memory this original boulangerie in Paris, but I like Kyoto one a lot. Le pain au chocolat ou chocolatine reminds me of France.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please, an English menu is certainly needed. They only have Japanese and French menus. Only 1 percent of tourists are from France. It get that it’s a “French” cafe, but it makes more sense to at least have English, given that English is the language in which almost all international tourists communicate here. The service was friendly and the food was fresh.
