They offer some sweets you can have while dining in, or you can buy them in pre-packs from the shelves. The mochii is made fresh and you can have them cut out what ever size you desire. If you like Japanese sweets, then this is a shop you should at least visit once while in Kyoto. It's very close to one of Kyoto's main attraction, so it won't be much of a detour for you to just pop in and have a look. They do have samples of most of their selections, so you can sample almost anything before deciding on your purchase.
