★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 金閣寺、銀閣寺とともに京の三閣と呼ばれていますが、普段は一般公開されていません。時々特別公開するときがありますので西本願寺のホームページで調べておくことをおすすめします。
 It is called the Kinkaku-sankaku along with Kinkaku-ji and Ginkaku-ji, but it is not usually open to the public. It is recommended that you check it on the website of Nishi Honganji Temple, as it will sometimes be made public.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2020年まで工事中ですが、工事の囲いが外され、2019年5月20日～21日の2日間だけ特別公開されました。こけら葺きの流線型の屋根が張り替えられ美しく、見違えりました。まだ工事の幕が張られたりしていますが、逆に池の水が抜かれ普段は見られない渡舟からの入口等の構造や石組もよく分かります。貴重な見学会でした。(雨の予報も外れて良かった)
Construction work is underway until 2020, but the construction fence was removed, and it was exhibited only for two days from May 20 to 21, 2019. The streamlined roof of Kokera was remodeled and made beautiful. There is still a curtain of construction, but the water in the pond is drained and the structure of the entrance from Watanabe and so on that you can not usually see well is well understood. It was a valuable visit. (It was good to miss the forecast of the rain)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 特別公開の際、何度か池越しに拝観した事がありますが、内部へは入った事はありません。どの時も外観の写真撮影は禁止でした。飛雲閣の回りの庭園を滴翠園(てきすいえん)、池の名を滄浪池(そうろうち)といい、国の名勝に指定されているそうです。
飛雲閣は三層こけら葺の楼閣建築で、上層に行くほど小さく、中心を左に移す、左右非対称の建物との事です。
伝説的に豊臣秀吉の聚楽第の遺構と言われていますが、建築手法などから江戸時代初期に本願寺で創建された見方が強いとの事です。
I had seen Ikegoe several times during the special exhibition, but I have never been inside. Photographing the exterior was prohibited at any time. The garden around Hiunkaku is called Kisuien, and the name of the pond is Sorochi, which is designated as a national scenic spot.
Hiunkaku is a three-story Kokera thatched-roof architecture. It is a building that is smaller as it goes up, and the center moves to the left, which is asymmetrical.
It is legendary said to be the remains of Juraku No. 1 in Hideyoshi Toyotomi, but it is said that the view from the beginning of the Edo period was built at Honganji in the early Edo period due to construction methods.

I wanted to see the buildings moved from Jurakudai and the dry landscape garden, but I can't seem to get inside. I saw it from the outside.

特別公開のみの建築ですが、柱の細さが京の雅を感じさせてくれます。
