 The other day, I went there for the first time in a while. There were still many retro games. I want these old-fashioned stores to continue for as long as one day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The game didn’t work for my console and the employee was not even willing to give me a solution (I came back to the store 5 minutes after buying the game and realizing it didn’t work), I didn’t even use it, the less that he could do was give me a cashback considering that the game was in the exact same condition I purchased it in.

Just down from the golden temple, and across from McDonalds, this place is a nerds dream.
I would highly recommend calling in just to browse at the massive selection of items available.
Overall fantastic experience!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store is tiny, but it has a lot of classics. Its more expensive then book off for example but they have a lot of rare games and they know their value. Definitely a nice variety after all those temples ;)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the best places to find retro games in Kyoto. Prices are a bit high, not Akihabara prices, but not cheap like Book-Off.
Selection here is fair. Not many PCE or MD games. Good amount of FC and SFC though. It's worth the trip out.
Protip: If you are a foreigner, have a list of what you are looking for ready. Don't waste everyones time going back and forth one item at a time. Have the item name in Japanese if you can. Even Better, have a picture of the box art of the item you are looking for.
This will make it a pain free interaction for you, the clerk and everyone else waiting behind you.
