★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The 'Plus' is real! This Book off has a broad selection of goods including clothing, figurines, vinyl records, and anime collectibles in addition to the usual books, CDs, and DVDs. The store is located upstairs in a busy shopping building, so the aisle organization can feel a little haphazard. I think the layout is meant to manage traffic and it does that well, but I found it hard to find a section even a minute or two after you saw it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you live in the US then this like a more amazing and better version of Goodwill, it has tons of books, movies, anime figures, models, video games etc! The clothing section does smell a little and the adult items are in the open just in case you have little ones with y'all. But a great store and I found a rare figure I've wanted at a decent price too

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ BOOKOFF PLUS is an absolute treasure chest full of cheap secondhand toys, books, and CDs in a very accessible area of Kyoto. I would go every week here to see what kind of goodies I can find! If you're willing to dig, you're bound to find cheap treasures!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Book Off is so cool! Such a great selection of manga, video games, etc! I love checking the old gameboy games for the nostalgia of it. I have been to multiple locations of Book Off, and I can highly recommend all of them!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ahh, the BookOff site of pilgrimage! So many books, so much off. Gobs of otaku figures too. I found many tamagotchis. Also there's clothes here. And video games, I think. I browsed for 19 hours.
